Iso's On Dvd
« on: June 19, 2003, 07:51:00 AM »

I recently picked up a TDK DVD+R burner. I have no problems makeing a good Iso but when I try to burn it Nero trys to make me put it on a CD-R/RW. It will let me burn data  on a DVD but not iso's. Anyone else run into this. It's probably something stupid I'm not doing, and Nero's tech support blows ass. Please help a DVD burning nOOb out. Thanks.

as long as you are running the newest version of nero

open nero
pick New in the file menu
A box will come up, pick new again

then select burn iso in the file menu
now, in this box, in the top left, select DVD rather than CD from the drop down and burn.

Ugh. I hate using Nero to burn DVDs.... Love it for CD media, hate it for DVD.

For DVD, I use RecordNow Max 4.5

It's Nero Express. That's what came with the burner.

Thanks for your help guys. I guess Nero Express can't burn iso's on DVD. Took BJ advice and downloaded RN Max 4.5. Great program will be buying the full version soon. Been wanting to get a backup of my Steel Battalion on a DVD and now I do. Now to get some MXM DVD's burned. biggrin.gif
