Aladdin Xt + 2 Problem: Error 11

i have an Xbox 1.0 and i've tried installing an Aladdin XT+2 4032. connected D0, BT, and L1 like in this guide:

but all i get is error 11. the connections are all ok, no traces have been damaged. i don't know what's wrong.

Chancer:
The chip is not working and you have a fault on the connection cables to the DVD Drive

.Ix:
the DVD Drive works fine without the modchip. it opens and closes and basically works perfectly when the modchip is removed from the pin header. but yeah i think the chip might be broken. you think reflashing could fix this?
