I installed one of these in my 1.6 (not B version), the xbox wouldn't work before hand so I thought that this would fix it (was FRAGing). I checked all my points on the rebuild with their traces to the xyclops chip and found pin 3 was not connected to the xyclops chip. I I ran a jumper from the LPC pin to the U7C1 point, now the chip seems to be fine on that part. I grounded the D0 point and jumpered G to BT. Xbox still frags on boot. I checked pin 9 and 6 and they are 3.33V and 5.02V respectivly.

When I power on the xbox the LED on the chip barely flashes (like its trying to come on but can't) Once the xbox starts flashing red/green the chip flashes red perfectly.

I am wondering if there is a timing issue here for the chip, like its not being initialized in time or if this xbox has no hope. Anything would be excellent right now!

If a xbox is fragging, it can be a lot of different kinds of problems. But its not a good idea to install a mod in it, when fragging original...

I have recovered a lot of 1.0-1.5 when they were fragging by the use of a mod. This is a 1.6 though, and the chip don't seem to be grasping the LPC in time to override the original bios.
