Doubt is stupid.
Even if the video is fake, it still doesnt matter. Because due to the hypervisor exploit, it can be done.
So why fret?
Why call shenanigans?
Why debate?
why pose as an expert at spotting fakes?
...no reason... uhh.gif thats why

Go outside, go get a cheese burger or something...

If you mean me, i had no doubts, just wish if people insist on posting videos that they make some effort in getting them right.

Forums are for debate, also noone needs to be an expert to see when something looks fishy.

Yay.  Tell me when unsigned is run on all kernals.   sleeping.gif

exactly, but it's gotta start somewhere...

and, yes, i agree with the others - this video is useless and poorly produced though i still believe that it has been done...would have believed it without this waste-of-time video...

Forums are for discussion. Debate is often a common theme because (when clean) its not against the rules and people love to argue opinions.

Back on topic. I'll agree, video looks fake. I'll say, Ubuntu is an awesome distro.
i cant see why the efuse problem cant eventually be bypassed, from what is known now, it cant be done but im sure something could eventually be figured out.

If another security hole is found, im sure most people will probably update their console with the fix before they find out

Like piranha's circling a cow in a river.  And a fine distro to throw on there too.

Did you WATCH the video? The GDM login screen would imply that the x.org server is running...

Of course this isn't the first guy to do this, Im sure there are developements in progress now that very few know about.  Just keep in mind most of these guys trying to find other security holes don't have time to post videos.  Maybe this is just wishfull thinking but IMO the great minds behind this scene don't want all the "Glory bullshit" they just want to be recognized.

....Glad someone finally posted a video though good work! Also I am not proclaiming the guy behind the video is not doing any great work on development.

Does anyone know how to make or where to buy the serial cable that is used?

Does this require soldering somehow? Is there any clear guide anywhere on how to obtain this cable?

Also is it only possible to run a file system via this cable, or can Linux be run naively from the Xbox 360 harddrive?

I'm just asking as I wonder if this is the reason it was running so slow in the video?

Presumably a native harddrive install would be much faster?

Don't some newer games require you to update to play them? I thought some games included the dashboard update on the disc and requires the user to install it in order to play the game. I could be wrong though.
