I downloaded the NFS:MW demo in 5 minutes, so speeds are pretty quick right now.  I deleted the game after 5 minutes as well.

One thing i noticed that was weird:  I started a download (mainly because it puts a check next to that item, like a bookmark) and then stopped it, and did it for a few to bookmark.  played a couple hours of games, but when i went to resume the download, it resumed at 50%!

not just one demo, but 3 of them!  could there be some kind of bittorrent running in the background or some slow download while you play?  still took 30 min to download.
