From the press release:

Quote

Limelight Networks today announced that it is the Content Delivery Network for Microsoft's just-launched Xbox 360 video game system and Xbox Live, the online gaming service for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft now included with every system. Microsoft is leveraging Limelight Networks for delivery of trailers and game demos during one of the most important product launches in its history to ensure that Xbox Live audiences receive the best performance with any downloaded content.

"With the launch of Xbox 360 we're taking Xbox Live to new heights. Now that our customers can download game demos, high-definition movie trailers, and more, we need to be prepared for dramatic increases in traffic," said Xbox Live Operations Manager Eric Neustadter. "Working with Limelight Networks allows us to easily scale to any level of demand."

yeah, the stuff downloads so slow (or so it seems).  It would be nce to have a kbps indicator during the downoads, because while i know some files are large, they DL goes so slow and seems to go at  <100 kbps, but I may be wrong.

The speed is terrible! I have 10/10MB connection and 40mb arcade demo took almost half an hour to download thats worse than ISDN  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) . At least thats the case in here northern Europe!

whoa... Limelight is just down the street from me, crazy. @@;;

As far as download speeds go; yeah, it does seem pretty slow. Games seem pretty good, but the arcade stuff isn't so speedy.

speeds are fine for me in southern cali.  only thing i wish they would implement is a way to minimize or send a download to the background and a notification pop up when it's finished. i hate looking at the download screen waiting for things to download and it's the main reason why i don't download things.

Then you don't have 10mb/10mb - or EU mirrors or infrastructure sucks.

I downloaded the NFS:MW demo in 5 minutes, so speeds are pretty quick right now.  I deleted the game after 5 minutes as well.
