I have heard this game involves shagging .... smile.gif  if this is correct ?   Then ...........

I suspect your gameplay and temps did not involve shagging scenes    biggrin.gif

Recalculate your temps during the shagging for a true temp reading........    jester.gif   jester.gif

i think i would rather just cut in a product like LOGISYS Computer FP708BK 5.25" Full Color Thermal/ Clock Control Panel and mod the molex adapter to work of 360 psu

Good stuff!!! Will try this out 2nite.

Just thinking, can you check the log while someone else is playing via your network?
Also, could something like this be expanded to show in real time on-screen whilst in-game?

Reviews for that are not great, and apparently it doesn't look so good in person, either.

Plus you can't log your stats with it, unless you want to sit there with a pen a paper. laugh.gif

This plugin is much more useful, and has a lot of potential.

Cool! I must protect my jtag  pop.gif
Maybe someone will start a list of games and temperatures (Game/MotherBoard/Fan speed/Temp),
This can be usefull even for non jtag people.

EVEN better, use the xbox leds for real time GPU temp indication: 1 green=40, 2 greens=45, 3 greens=50, 4 greens=55, 1 red=60... and so on...

Actually ... I was thinking about doing an open-source PICaxe driven front panel that gets the temps from UART, otherwise they're not going to accurately reflect the GPU core etc.. Just the heatsink temp(Or whatever ur sensor is attached to assuming it's on hard enuff) . If anyone else is keen on this idea, we should make another topic.. The HW side is pretty straight-forward, nothing special... The only variation is in picking the display/screen. There are some really good/cheap backlit ones around now. We looked at making it ourselves as a commercial thing , but the market isn't really there(In addition to products like the one u mentioned) plus it's more fun to make ur own..We could get it done under 100 USD$ easy!

Yes, (As I mentioned earlier :-)  You just need to copy the file off FTP (assuming an FTP app is running) you could use ur client to automate it. No need to stop the plugin.

I'm hoping someone will make a (minimalistic) DL plugin that runs FTP full-time for this sort of thing (and plenty of other applications ;-)  Perhaps there might be an existing way around being able to actively check/copy files etc.. but I'm not aware of any...

Nice temps on those Jaspers BTW, U guys should see some of the 'Higher' ones from Xenons and even Falcons. I'm still hoping to see graphs eg; Blackops Singleplayer Level 1 (Max,Min,Avg) Blackops Singleplayer Level 2 (Max,Min Avg) etc.. that sort of thing, Which games run the highest (RROD makers!) One of the higher ones we used fer benchmarking is Forza 3. Speaks volumes for the work it must be doing ... Can't wait to see how the new(er) games will max it out like BC3, Forza 4 and MW3. What about different hombrew apps? Wht about different dashes? we noticed that each of the last dash releases (last 3 or 4) have each added ALMOST a DEGREE!! Which makes you think (I wont get into conspiracies etc..) In theory everything should run smoother a lower temps, even if the voltages and Frequencies are the same (In theory, I would like to know how much is needed to make a significant difference so If someone can figure-out a good way to benchmark. How about the guys out there using coolants and chems? Liquid heliem anyone? Peltiers? Combos? WHO HAS THE COOLEST BOX! Perhaps we should run a competition! If I think I have a spare one month ;-)  Perhaps someone may discover a way to OC even ... It HAS to be possible!!)

When I wrote the plugin that's what i was testing on was a Devkit. So yes it does work on a Devkit. Just run the launcher and play like normal once it returns to the dashboard =)

Antman, can you add fan speed as well? Temps don't make sense on target temp boxes.

Can you trace down the GPU flicker filter flag for PAL/NTSC output? If you're interested...

Here are some temps of me playing mortal kombat on my Zephyr. Definitely not stock cooling. Quiet as a whistle and fans at auto setting (lowest speed)

Edit: way too much clutter http://pastebin.com/kPuxAKdd
Click the link and see where I load up mortal kombat in the begining and where I quit toward the end.

Here is a small graph of the temps.

Nice temps,  ur gpu looks to be extremely stable,  can u share with us ur cooling arrangement?

Liked the graphs also!

this tool has been very helpfull on my jasper with no dvd drive rear fan cut out running stock fans at 12v plus a extra large 12v fan on the gpu heatsink has a max temp cpu 45c gpu 42c

now ive also added a 2nd small fan on the extra small gpu heatsink pushing air down i thought this would also increase the airflow to the cpu infront but now my temps are max cpu 47c gpu 40c so ive taken a extra 2c from the gpu and added it to the cpu wink.gif

Excellent work mate, just used this to check out temps on an E74 console which decided to come back from the dead and was on an exploitable dash - woot woot!

Slightly off topic but for anyone that's interested, this console I have got working again runs 10 degrees C hotter in a Lian Li Xbox 360 case than it does in the original case with fans at 100% (12v) in FSD .  So I bought this expensive case ages ago just to house my normal flashed consoles, as it claimed to have superior cooling and quietness and looked damn good!  Well I've never actually had a jtag in it until now and it has just confirmed to me that the better cooling is all bull shit!  No wonder I had a console 3RROD on me in it in the past.

Anyone wanna buy a case lol!?  laugh.gif
