I was using the XNA Kit and I converted some audio into .XMA files by accident. Then the HD on my PC crashed and I lost the original files.
Now all I have left are the .XMA files which are now useless since I can't convert them back with the XNA kit.
I have read that the only way to convert them back is to the program "xmaencode.exe" found only in the Xbox 360 XDK.
Does any one know where else I could find the program as it took several months to get the audio just the way I want it for my PC game.
I know the 360 can play them, but I don't know how to get to play on the 360 without injecting them into a game that uses them
I am not a 360 developer.
Of course this is "lesson learned" Always backup
