1. The copy i have even though it isnt the official public beta is good through at least september 06. Even though after you register there isnt a clear cut date, there is an internal kill date.

2. I highly doubt theres any sort of discount offered. The whole point of beta testing is that you get to play with a program thats going to cost money eventually for free. Bugs and all.

looks like this version of windows may be worth getting. The others were just bleh upgrades.
