Well, seems to me like I'll have to do this completely, since I can't load title updates, so no content download...

I anyone confirms this, I'm gonna do it regardless of my stubbornness.

can someone pls tell me, how it work for a 160gb hdd ?

When I open my 160GB HDD in Winhex and goto offset: 0x80000

and change it to that: 58 54 41 46 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 01

Xplorer360 shows me the partition, but I cant open it.

so I found my "name.txt" but I dont understand what I have to do now... my english is not very well...

I have not seen the magic numbers posted for the 160gb drive yet.

Here is what I have calculated from the pic you provided.  try these magic numbers at the offset F0C2 in "Xplorer360_09b6_250gb.exe" and see if they work.  Some have reported that they use offset F0C0 in "Xplorer360_09b6_250gb.exe" (Mine worked on F0C2)

1332C4000 - 130EB1000 = 2413000 > 241300 > 00 13 24

00 13 24 being what I got for your magic number.  let us know if it works ok so it may help others.

I run xbla games and ripped xbox 360 games from my 0 partition. Is there some benefit to adding the other partitions?

You need a partition 2 for backwards compatibility.

How about doing it this way instead - http://forums.xbox-scene.com/lofiversion/i...hp/t703986.html

Seems a fair bit easier (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)  That's what I intend to use when my 500gb arrives.

I got a 80gb laptop hard drive that I formatted with a jtagged 360.

The issue?

Xplorer doesn't even detect the drive.

FATXplorer seems to detect the drive, but only displays partition 0- with no mention of 1,2,3.

What editing should I do to the text file?

i dont know why i can edit post so:

when i've edited xplorer360 with 00 40 73 at offset F0C2 it tells me that thers no FATX partition found.

When i edit HDD with 58 54 41 46 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 01 at offset 80000 it says "Failed to read cluster chain maps!"

can anyone help?

Tried both WinHex and Hex Workshop, and I can't seem to find name.txt anywhere on my original 120GB drive, WinHex takes about an hour to search all sectors of the drive, Hex Workshop takes overnight.. both yield nothing.  Any ideas?

Did you actually name the original drive?
