Code has been altered to support the new larger units and drive but we lack one to actually test on. Please report success/problems on our forums or here. Thanks!

Nice work Angerwound. Did you also add support for WD BEVS drives ? The old version didnt, because after formatting it on the x360, it contained one partition less than the original MS drive and therefor your tool rejected it. After adding the partition info manually, it worked though. But it would be nice if it worked without having to edit partition info manually. If you want me to test something, I'd be happy to help out.

Sorry to bother you but do you think you could tell me how to add the parition info manually?  I searched the scene and was unable to find anything like that.  Id really appeciate it.

also i use your program alot for gamesaves, but i noticed a bug when injecting a folder under E0000 it will be sent to the main content folder and then you can drag it to the folder and delete it, it's a weird bug, but i will live with it! tongue.gif  pop.gif

if you dont know what i'm talking about i will get a screenshot of what happens when i inject a game folder with a save in it. pop.gif

Ok, I just tried the new update to Xplorer with my 120gb hdd and got a fatX error. Heres All the info maybe Anger, Roofus or someone can help me out:

The Hdd is a "specialist" of the 120gb hdd that I purchased and works fine when connected to the 360. This is the first time the 120gb hdd has been connected to the computer. When I first connected it to the compter by using XSATA, windows proceeded like I installed a new hdd. In device manager under Disc drives I now see
"Fujitsu MHW2120BH USB Device". However when I try ro access the drive via Xplorer I get a fatx error.

So my questions are:

1) What can I do?

&

2) Has anyone been successful with their "Specialist" hdd?

Well, to get a 20 gb WD BEVS recognized in xplorer360, you can edit sector 1024 (=0x400) = byte 0x80000. You need to make it look like:

58 54 41 46 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 01

So, the easy way to do this: open your drive with winhex( http://www.x-ways.net/winhex.zip ) by pressing F9, select your WD BEVS drive, press <ALT>+G, use position 80000 (hexadec) and then edit these 16 bytes starting at 0x80000 to look like above. Save it and then xplorer360 will work, at least with the 20 gb version

Not sure if this will do the job for the 120 gb version, haven't tried this myself yet.

Thanks, would be great if your nice tool would standard have WD BEVS support too.

Regards,

what is so strange is that when I hooked my WD hddhackr drive up to the PC after reformating it I could see it with Xplorer360 beta 5 but now I get a fatx Error with the new Beta 6.  It will be awesome if we had support for the WD BEVS drives as well.   Thank you all for your hard work.
