you don't have to use imgburn to write the backup disc.  you can use xbc write option, perfectly ok.  i was just testing imgburn at that time when i write the xbox1 game disc.  actually, i used xbc 2.1 write option when i backed up my PGR3 and it works till today.

it is your preference and your option to use either xbc write or imgburn.  cheers!!

Hi, is there any restriction as to the whether the drive is master or slave?  I currently have a Pioneer 110 as master and the samsung 162c as a slave, should this combination work?
Thanks

Will these XB one backups work on the 360?

I thought I read somewhere online that you've got to do some special stuff. Not sure though. Maybe XB Creator makes that easy like it does everything else.

if your 360 console has never been updated to play xbox1 games, you need to do something.  it is mentioned in xbox.com website.  go to here for info.

after which, your console will be able to play xbox1 original and backup copies provided it is flashed with hacked fw.

BerT69 - Yes you still have to use DVD+R DL

That is an alternate way of reading the dvd, it skips over the bad sectors making the read time 10 minutes instead of 3 hours.

birdwig - You still need to flash the firmware in your 360's drive to use these backups.

stevenh78 - hard to say, hardware setups depend on too many factors to list here. You just have to try until it all works good. smile.gif

Hello,

I'm curious to why I am getting this when i try to burn with XBC...

QUOTE
Backup Image doesn't match expected filesize
Expected: 7.05 GB (7,572,881,408 bytes)
Actual: 7.18 GB (7,705,657,344 bytes)

I have the latest 2.3 build 185 and Kreon 081 firmware. It happs with every ISO i make.

My FW is already flashed inside my 360.

I guess I would just need to connect to xb live and DL the 'update' from MS to my hard drive in the 360, then I should be able to succesfully burn xb1 games using XB Backup Creator and play them. That's pretty rad.

hi birdwig, if your 360 console is flashed with a hacked fw, in my opinion, it is better to download that default.iso from xbox.com website and burn it to a cd-rw.  then you insert it into your console and it will update it to play xbox1 original and backed up game disc.  i did it this way, just to play it safe because i do not know of any complication if i go Live.....

I am in the process of making a backup con my original BLACK xbox1 game. I am using the latest version of XBC and I have a question:

¿It is normal that  the process of creating the iso is very slow?

I f use the option "Use Sector Mapper", the process of creating the iso is very fast. But using this option, after writing to DVD this will work on my 360?

What method is recommended for a safe backup?

Thanks..

Dont know why this happened, and haven't seen a thread about it but here goes.

This is using:

sh-d162c with kreons latest firmware
sammy drive with m25
firmware 4.2b
Verbatim DL's
Dvr-110

I backed up Oblivion, PGR3, COD2, and Kameo.  All worked great and there was no problem.

Then I tried to back up my other 3 games and couldn't get a SS on any of them.  Kept getting "invalid security sector" over and over.  Next game, nope, no ss.  Then I tried one of the games I HAD JUST SUCCESSFULLY BACKED UP, and boom same thing, now all of a sudden the COD2 ss is invalid.

So I come in here, see some obscure post by some guy about how he just rebooted his pc and all was fine again.  So I go and do it thinking "what the hell, i'll try anything" and it works.

Can someone give me any idea as to why this would happen?  After that reboot not one problem and this is after I tried to read these games about 10X.   (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

Other than that this is the sweetest program eva.

heet- I'm not sure, but I do know that the sh-d162c is a finicky piece of hardware and I suspect that it may not be very stable in all hardware configurations.  I'm glad that a simple reboot solved your issue.

How is everyone doing with the sh-d163a?  Is it more stable?
