NCspecV81 - Having it lockup like that is a symptom of the program waiting for the drive to return data, but nothing ever gets returned so it looks like it hangs while it waits.  Log info would help some if you have it available.

With any errors can you turn on logging, detailed or debug setting and pm me last last 10-20 lines or so.  That way I'll be able to identify the sections of code easier.

NCspecV81 - this sounds interesting, how long did you wait, the app queries the drive and media info, it may take a few seconds, what does the log say?

Well I don't know what the hell just happened, but I checked create log file and selected detailed.....and it's working now. uhh.gif

You still want a copy of the log file now that it seems to be working?

TurboJailer - no I dont need it, glad to hear it worked. Im not sure what is different.  We may need some more time with kreons new firmware to know more about what causes it.

Upon launching the program.....

1st Error

Error Initializing ASPI or SPTI Interface.

2nd Error

91 Object variable or With block variable not set.

My SH-D162C is not detected by the program, however detected by Windows and other software.

Got rid of the errros by copying wnaspi32.dll to the executable folder. Still will not see the drive though. Just like drive tools. It is recognized in windows. All other apps can see and use the drive.

Thanks Redline99! this is huge.

Also, when you say that the hitachi is not capable of viewing the game partition does that mean ripping it also?

sorry i'm a newb and haven't even flashed my drive yet.

Dood you rock great app. If may add just two sugestions.

1. Allow selection of more then one drive at a time, one for ripping, one for burning, have defaults for each.
2. Allow One click backups, stick in the original, stick in a blank, click copy, delete the image afterwards.

After this... well then you won't have a kick arse app, you should have the perfect app (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

BTW also seams to work great in XPx64

Regards,
Daggo

Odb718 - That isa good suggestion, thanks

Zil_Daggo - I thought about that, maybe in a later release.  I wanted to do on-the-fly read/write without ever going to the hard drive, but to do that the app need to be multi threaded, which sucks for VB6.

blue_calx - I dont know of anyone who have been able to get the Hitachi to viw the game data without a special hard coded firmware patch.

Biosyntrix - what OS are you using? Are you logged in as an administrator?

Sc0rpion - Good catch, I will add it to my list to fix!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the people who are getting the error:

Action: Read Security Sector
DeviceIoControl Error: 0x00000079
The semaphore timeout period has expired.

Try using the app in ASPI mode and let me know if that works any different, please.

Someone with the DeviceIoControl Error: 0x00000079 error please pm me. I have a test build to try. smile.gif
