Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the support in the first release of MCE Video Encoder.
I've had some great feedback and some really positive encouragement.
It's now currently got over 3000 users and this number is climbing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)


I'm planning on releasing a new version of the software very very soon
(after I've completed a house move) that will include some issue
fixes and new features:


1) Add ability to add and select custom profiles.
2) HTML add-in for MCE 2005 to control the application rather than
using "more.." on videos.
3) Ability to jump to exact point in video (both in MCE and in Windows
client).
4) Run MCEVideoEncoder as a service rather than a background
application.
5) New setup wizard that will test encoder and make sure all classes
and codecs are installed.
6) Fix issue with video finishing 10 seconds before end.
7) Fix issue with installer using hard coded "c:\documents and
settings\all users\documents" folder.
Fix issue with system sometimes crashing when first opened.
9) Make "Encoder Is." message a little more helpful.


I've set up a forum and user group at http://www.lightningware.co.uk.
Please log any issues you are having and any features you think the
software should have there. This will mean we have a central repository
that I can use when I develop the new version.
