I never thought we'd see a rip this fast with all the new protections rumored to be on the 360.  Most likely, it will still be a number of months before we can actually get unsigned unsigned code to run, but you just have to move one step at a time.  This is certainly a step in the right direction.

Its great to see that they've shared their code too to help the development.

when dump of commercial game is dumped it's always a huge step to the hacking! If i had 2$ i will say that these dump will be playable within 2 months. My 2 cents!

Do you mean the ISOs working on an Xbox 360?  If so, not going to happen for awhile.

i hope this is allowed to be discussed...as i have visual studio .net 2003 and i could read the source code....but how would i actually run this? for example i have my 360 game in my dvd rom of my computer, and i go to the command prompt and to the folder where xtract360.exe is at.... but then it keeps saying that it cannot find the file...so my question, how do we know which file to look for? how do i correctly run this so i can make my own backups? thanks!

edit: i figured out my own question...lol...that my dvd rom drive cant read the 360 discs duh! but i now know what this prog is actually used for lol....we've got to find out this file system!

No we cant discuss that and the extractor is only for a ".360" iso file that has already been dumped onto your PC HDD.

Dude! this tool is not made to do your own dump it a tool to extract the content of the dump (xxxx.360). Currently no public methode is defused to do your own dump
