Coping Game With Transfer Cable

Is it possible to copy the game from PC to Xbox HDD using transfer cable and to play it with DVD placed in Xbox? My game DVD is scratched so it won't install on HDD but Xbox can check that the game is placed in DVD drive. Is it possible?

only problem is each game installed to the hard drive isn't going to show (EXAMPLE:forza2 name)on the hard drive.......so where you going to transfer it EXAMPLE: partition 3 /01f6f321/ooo1o1o1
unless you know someone that has the same game installed and you see or know it then you can check where it goes and how it's marked/named...
