360 Dev Kit Question
« on: March 09, 2006, 11:10:00 AM »

I recently got my hands on an Xbox 360 dev kit. But i can't get games to play on it. It keeps going back to the Xbox dashboard. Can someone tell me how to get games to play? There were a bunch of executable files on it as well in addition to the dashboard option, but those didn't seem to do anything.  Any info appreciated. Thanks.

You can't play retail games on a Dev Kit straight out of the box.  Do something more useful with it!

and how on earth did you get a Dev kit in a legal way?anyway, if you did get a dev kit(legally or not), you should help the mod scene with it.

I work at a magazine. for some reason, they got a dev kit 360. the guy who had it left the mag, and left it behind. so I got it. Not sure what to do with it. I'd sell it if there's interest. But I'd rather be able to play games on it if possible.

I'm sure for the money you'd get for it, you could buy a new retail 360 to play games on it.  There are some people here who would be very interested in buying it.

Hell, I'd love to have it, but there's no way in hell I'd get the money!  And there are others here who could put it to a much greater use.

Agreed, then you could buy 2 xbox 360 premiums for you to play games on. Or just one and a few games.

Don't put it on eBay.  Talk to some of the guys who expressed interest here.

YEA post it in the B/S/T section for the 360. If you post it up on ebay then bad things may happen.

This is what he probably has http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/xbox-360/xbox...eals-137284.php. They are more of a test unit then a debug unit. (missing the sidecar)

ebaying it will probably result in getting sued by MS.
I recommend you check for a reverse engineering organization, or a modchip manufacturer who is interested

Seeing as this belongs to your employer you cant sell it or do anything with it.

If you do well the worst that can happen is you lose your job.
