Fsd 2 And Dashlaunch
« on: December 22, 2010, 05:18:00 PM »

Hi all, i'm desperately trying to get my jtag xenon to boot directly to freestyle dash using dashlaunch, i have loaded the dashlaunch folder in stock ms hdd in partition3> content folder and have ran the installer to patch my nand which completed successfully. I think my launch.ini file is the problem and i currently have it as Hdd:\content\freestyle\default.xex  whic his where the FSD folder is located. I have tried to edit the ini file a few times and just cant get it to boot directly into FSD .ini is set as Default = Hdd:\content\freestyle\default.xex .

launch.ini needs to be in root of hdd1 or usb

[QuickLaunchButtons]
Default = LUsb0:\FSD2 Alpha\default.xex
BUT_X = LHdd1:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00070000\FreestyleDash
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true

is what my config looks like and works 100% hope that helps

 Ok, so if i just swapped the default from usb to lhdd1 (as per your example) and move my fsd folder to the 00070000 folder it should work ? with that setup where is your launch ini file located ?

 thanks for your help.

that example of mine BUT_X = LHdd1:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00070000\FreestyleDash is only a shortcut that i made using QuickBoot v2.1 and just points back to the usb anyhow.

as long as you have it as Default = LHdd1:\content\freestyle\default.xex it should run fine

What version of dashlaunch are you trying to install? for memory 2.05 and up are for freeboot .04 and kinect dash 12611 anything before 2.05 should work on the old dash tho freeboot .03 and 9199 dash.

Dunno what else to suggest sorry, maybe try in the asking for help in the official 2.07 thread and some 1 will be able to figure it out and talk u through it.

You have a unessesary space in one of your strings the button x for one. For me personally i have my defualt named freestyledash.xex main folder called Freestyle. You shouldnt get a e79 from dashlaunch tho unless your using old one that doesnt work with new dash. Also try hdd1.

 Yeah it was a sample i used and i only want the hdd shortcut to work.

After a very frustrating late night i finally got it to work, of all the guides i read on this not one was complete and most left out 1 or 2 steps. I tried the freestyle desk skin which i didnt like and couldnt get out of it and now i get an E79 error  grr.gif .

  Easy fix thought, i just have to replace the FSD folder and re boot.
