Team FSD released a new version of the FreeStyle Dash v2.0 Alpha, an alternative dashboard for homebrew 360s.
From teamfsd.com:
Quote

As promised we're releasing last Sundays online update for the offline users.
In addition we've fixed some other issues too (online users get an update notification). The update is always called default.xex, rename it to whatever you named your xex if you dont have rev 1044 in the about screen.

The following issues have been fixed or added (in addition to the rev 1021 version):
-Fixed filebrowser paste not working.
-Fixed videopath in config.
+Versions show in debug.log.
-Fixed Auto Updater (some files did not get deleted and sometimes crashed).
+Performance improvement in gamelist.
+Status Bar is now shown on RightThumbstickClick.
-Fixed some skin issues.

Thanks guys, everyone appreciates your hard work and hopefully the donations are coming along.  I can't even imagine how good this program is going to be in 6 months time considering how good it already is.

All- I used to boot directly into the FreeStyle dash on my USB drive using the boot ISO. Now that they've changed the XEX filename from FreeStyleDash.xex to default.xex, this no longer works. I've renamed the xex file just to get this to work for now, but I'm guessing this will break any autoupdates in the future.

Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions? I don't have dashlaunch installed (afraid to install it).

Thanks!

There's nothing wrong with dashlaunch, why not use it?
Hell it's built into freeBOOT 0.32

good work team FSD, thank you for the update! huge improvement on the scanning and performance issue, can't wait to see more

@snart, I found that autoupdate does work but new version won't be recognised and it will keep prompting you. After installing update, you need to rename the default.xex to whatever one you use.

As a suggestion, perhaps place version info in a different file? I also boot from a dvd
