Problem With Ubuntu Install Script
« on: June 14, 2007, 06:42:00 AM »

Hello again Sonic, Glad to hear you got Linux working  biggrin.gif

I would use the Cpasjuste's Gentoo Beta Live CD again and run the cfdisk /dev/sda command to format the drive and start again.

I too had a problem with the installation and ended up only doing the format, the mount and then I used burgerbees script

sudo su
wget http://mydedibox.fr/...buntuinstall.sh
sh ./ubuntuinstall.sh

My internet connection was very slow back then and it took a few hours to fully install but the script worked great.

Hope that helps

As far as getting flash working, let me know if you find a solution. Adobe only has flash binaries for i386 flavors of linux. We need ppc-64 (would ppc-32 bit be compatible?).

Yer currently PPC Flash is only available on OSX, there is a petition somewhere to try and get Adobe to Support PPC Linux.

Is the source available for i386? Maybe someone with time could do it. I don't know enough about the ppc64 architecture to be of any help.
