Ok so I took my 360 to a local store that says they softmod your Xbox for you, as I have no idea how to do this stuff. I have gone there a few times and have been screwed around with excuses from the kids who run the store basically cause they were to lazy to do it, so I tend not to believe what they say.
The guy asks me when I got my 360, and I tell him 3 months ago and he tells me what sounds like some "cock and bull" story about if my 360 is from January 2008 and on that you can not soft mod the console and if it is from "october to december" there is a 50% chance they could do it, and then anything before then is good. Thinking to myself man this sucks, I go get my 360 for him to take a look. I check the date and it was atually made in august of 07, so I can get it done right? I bring it in, and the guy looks at it and says no we can't do this one.
Is there any truth to what he said? If there is, is there any other solutions to modding the 360?
