1080i Not Available...?
« on: February 03, 2020, 11:01:00 AM »

I have my new elite (got today!!) hooked up to my projector via hdmi, thorugh a Yamnaha 2600 av receiver... when I go to setup, 1080i is not available (greyed out), although 1080p is!!

My rpojector will only support 720p and 1080i... why can I activate the 1080i option in the dashboard??

I am using the same cable & av conneciton that my digibox used, which pushed a 1080i (confirmend by projector) signal, so why not the 360??

Any ideas??

Does it work at all on 1080p?

My guess is your projector is native 720p that will down sample a 1080i signal to 720p. Just use 720p, it a better option for gaming anyway and will look better than 1080i.

It is native 720p.. however, it does indicate onscreen what the input signal is...

Wehn I have my skyhd digibox plugged in which is set to 1080i, it says so on the screen.. for some reason, the projecot is not detecting the 1080i output from the xbox (which is greyed out).. I dont reallyunderstand why this is greyed out, when 1080p isnt..!!

If I set it to 1080p, obviously the picture is awful....

When I am using my pc through the projector, to use 1080i, I have to set it to 1920x1080 @ 30hz, which as it is interlaced, is what it shoudl be...

So my pc, and digibox both work fine on 1080i, but the 360 doesnt!!

Thats all that I can deduce with my setup...
