do you have files waiting to be downloaded? the update is designed to put your console in a low power mode instead of shutting off... it will stay "on" until your download queue is finished and then it will power off.

if that's not the case I'd recommend turning off the console and then hold down the sync button while you push the power button to turn it on.

That is a reset code of sorts, it might help your situation.

That has nothing to do with the update, its a feature of the play and charge thing.  If you turn off the console while its plugged into the controller, it will continue charging it in a low power mode.

i'm not a newbie ; ; ... just never realized the charging thing... plus, i still got the green-screen with my rgb-cable which was not there before the update... but hey, i got help, what more can i expect? thx anyway and gl to all the others with their spring-update-errors...
