Xbox 360 Unique Mobo And Dvd Key

is there a tutorial someplace on how to obtain the unique key that marry's  the 360 motherboard and dvd drive?  i have check all the faqs and searched high and low but cant seem to find anything.....unless im looking for the wrong thing.

can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me the steps needed to obtain the key?  does it involve dumping my dvd drives firmware?

so i looked at a few guides.....and here is what i came up with.

-connect drive to pc
-dump dvd firmware
-extract key from firmware

obviosuly its more technical then that but thats the idea right?

Thats exactly it.... don't lose it after that because if the DVD drive dies the whole system is bricked.  No way t o extract it from teh motherboard yet..
