I got a call from my local GAME this afternoon (Accrington), to confirm I'll be getting my 360, I can pick it up from 8am on Friday (he said they are not going to do a midnight opening as people were robbed for their PSP's last time)

I have until Monday to collect it and then they will let it go to the next person on the list. (sure thing)

Have asked for:

Premium 360

Wireless Adaptor
Play and Charge Kit
VGA cable
PGR3
PDZ

But ours is opening at 7am

Well mine now opens in 10 minutes and all the boxes are free!!

Would they have all the peripherals on the shelves? may get another controller too, or see what other gadgetry they have (depending on how much I have left)

Comet are supposed to be ringing to arrange delivery of the pre-orders before DEC 1st. It is then that you will give your CCard details

No retailer should ask for Ccard details over the phone, they should of been givin online when you ordered or when you go in to store to pay

Not correct . I have bought goods over the phone many times with CC indeed it is an option at many sites for you to ring with credit card details if you prefer it.
Comet actually stated they will be confirming the CC by phone.

Sorry my mistake then. When I rang dixons I asked if I could give them my Ccard details over the phone and they said no due to security reason.
I proberly got a someone who couldnt be bothered to deal with me.

Well, just got a call from Toys r' us about when I ordered my 360 way back in august.

I've definetly got:

Premium bundle with free remote
King Kong
Amped 3
2 free DVD's (apparently M$ told them to do it - just to show off the DVD player)
And a second extra controller

£399.99

It was the cheapest bundle with the premium pack they did! Ok, so it's not the best of the games but I'll go and get PD0 anyway

. I look the look of both of them anyway!

I can pick it up on the 2nd!

Also, my cousin wants a 360 but he hasnt pre-ordered. I know his chances are slim - but where do you think it is worth trying to get a 360 for walk-in buyers?

Argos were taking pre-orders and had the core still available for dec 2 delivery (The premiums went a while ago) up to a couple of weeks ago but they ahve now been taken down from available so I think they will be in the same boat as everyone else on this.
Here is the current stance from Comet (Web orders)
We have obtained limited supplies from MS and are completing all pre orders prior to the product being available for general sale.

Did you pre order in store? if so, I would recommend ringing them to confirm your order.
If you ordered online I would still give them a call to make sure you are getting it.

If you ordered just a premium then they have no choice, you obviously ordered early as they were not doing bundles at the time so if I was you I would ring them on: 08705 425 425 and tell them that you will recieve your console.
Dont talk no crap from them
