First I would just like to say that I have not been on in the scene for a hot minute and don't have tons of times to search if this was already suggested, told, put out wutever....

Went to local Gamestop in the San Diego area got to talking to some of the guys, and manager while he was opening up some mail.  It was about 30min before they closed.  All of a sudden he told the other guys to look at the letter and they did and was like oh *&(*, so that's when.  I still didn't know what was going on, but I decided to ask what was up.. the manager was like sorry I can't see the letter, cause of legal and other stupid shop policies.  I was like wutever and then we got into talking about 360 and the trailers from the 360 website and then I was like woa, we went from PSP modding to 360.  Make a long story short, they ended up showing me part of the letter from I guess Gamestop Headquarters with some M$ info address and folks names.  Launch date scheduled for Nov. 4th 2005. Quantity not determined yet.  The manager was like dude, you really don't need to go spreading that and to just keep it hush hush until Octoberish or so.  So no need to say I ended up paying off for my 360. $300 for now

Maybe something they get all the time, but just thought I would share that.  If need b, mods feel free to trash!

That's believable. I had a long talk at EBgames once about the next gen before E3 took place. He said wait until October because that's when things will be announced and completed for sure.

it wont be the 4th.

they wont launch a console on a Friday.

It'll be either the 3rd, 10th, or 17th..Thursday launches. Tueaday launches arent out of the question, making it the 1st, 8th and 15th. and the 15th would be 4 years to the day that the original launched.

I'm sticking with a Thursday launch.

I'm going to be a bastard and play devil's advocate by saying: MS likes to do things different, especially with their sophomore console (the first one they did "by the book" as they learned the market). They didn't unveil the console like other companies have in the past who say's they're going to release like other's have in the past?

Sorry took me so long to post, but i no longer have a stable internet connection.  I'm in the Navy and now live onboard a ship until I find a place.  Guess now ya'll know the reason I'm not on alot.  On the ship, (mines at least) they block the XS forums.

Well, I've been going back to that Gamestop and made friends with the manager.  According to him, he is and some other GameStop Managers are gearing for that launch date i posted about, so I don't know.  Least mines is paid off and he will make sure there is one there for me incase I am unable to make it on that date. Duty something only military folks know about.

about whoever asked about PSP.. yea you can mod it.  Pretty neat I must indeed say.  I did the external wi-fi antenna mod to it and the range I get is damn near 3-5 times what I used to get. (I currently just park in a parking lot and high jack wireless internet from some residential houses/apts after my PCS phone battery dies).  I mostly use it though for the emulators you can put on it.  Back to what matters 360.

hey deftec i read the posts and i see thatt its prob a thurs. but u know why? like im not oposing it im just curious, why thursday? is thatt like normally the least busy day or something? or is it just randomly consistent

check my previous posts in this thread bro, I posted all dates and days for sys launches.

it speaks volumes. backtrack and look.....

hell, here it is...

Atari Jaguar = November 4th 1993 (Thursday)
Sega Saturn = May 11th 1995 (Thursday)
Playstation = September 9th 1995 (Saturday)
N64 = September 30th 1996 (Monday)
Sega Dreamcast = September 9th 1999 (Thursday)
Sony PS2 = October 26th 2001 (Thursday)
MS Xbox = November 15th 2001 (Thursday)
Nintendo Gamecube = November 18th 2001 (Sunday)
Nintendo DS = Nov. 4th 2004 (Wednesday)
Sony PSP = March 24th 2005 (Thursday)
MS Xbox 360 =

and with game dates being the 3rd or 4th, it would make it the same as xbox. I had xbox games on november 9th, and the sys launched on the 15th.

3rd or 4th for 360 games, and possibly the 10th for the system.

Just a hunch, but I have past dates to back it up a bit is all. The 10th or 17th, I stand by those dates.

Again, Reasons why it "Probably" will Not be released on the 4th..

#1. Its a Friday

#2. The date isnt close to being the 15th.

#3. ...goes along with #2. All of MS launches, be it the Xbox, Live, or Halo 2, have been November 9th or the 15th.

#4. Launch date for Xbox games was the 9th. A FULL week b4 the system was out on the 15th. Launch date for 360 games is the 2nd or 4th. It could very well be planned the same way Xbox was, with the system hitting a week later.
