Dvd... Enough Space?

Compression makes the files alot smaller and lowers seek time while increasing transfer rate. It's an advantage you don't get if you just put it on a larger medium.

Dvd... Enough Space?

that is true though
i meant  if you  spent all this time compressing it to fit on a dvd , you could have already put it on a hd-dvd, more over the more it is compressed the harder it is for the laser to read it, but putting it on a hd-dvd is more of a compression than dvd ...
aaahhhh.... its so confusing

smile.gif. Well I think M$ is also trying to keep the price of the x360 lower. The market isn't over flooded with HD-DVD or Blu-Ray. How many computers come with either? How many home systems come with either? NONE. So why all the fuss over it? Right now the cost of HD-DVD systems are going to be a little higher than standard dvds & Blu-Ray costs are ten times as much.
Nintendo showed that you dont need alot of space to make a great game. The GC only holds 1.3 gb of data & some of their games look as good if not better than the xbox. So, with that in mind, DVD-9 should be plenty.
