the xbox 360 is "wireless ready" that means that if you buy the adapter probalbly around 75-100 dollars you can go wireless. kinda funny though because the current xbox is wi-fi "ready" as well. dry.gif

I don't think that the wireless adaptor will be too expensive, most usb wireless adaptors are around $30-$50.

Why didn't they just build it with an internal B/G wireless card?

it does have A support, but about them selling the adaptor separate it is a no brainer, M$<-notice the dollar sign, likes money and they want more of it so they sell things like the dvd playback kit, and the wireless adaptor to make more money, also if they were it integrate the adpator that would increase the cost which M$ does not want because they want ot sell as many consoles as possible to kill sony.

the adaptor is the size of a stick of gum and clips to the back of the console so size is not an issue

it was an example. The HDD will be able to store things like games(arcade maybe more) music, and videos. The vids could only be ones streamed from a pc IDK.  We'll will find out for sure soon enough.

The wireless Adapter is extra because as it is MS will be taking at $75 hit on every Xbox360 sold at launch to make the $299USD price point. (http://www.xbox-scen...pElKpDsRiVo.php)

I should also note that the Xbox1's wireless adapter is 100% compatible with Xbox360 and according to the official Fact sheet the official 360 wireless adapter will either fit entirely inside of the console's case through a port on the back, or not protrude any more than an antenna.

So if the adapter cost $75 then you have NOTHING to complain about because it saves those of us who don't want/need it from having to spend money on it

if you look at the back of the console you can see there is a cover plate that comes off and the adaptor fits in there

Clips on? So its not a USB cord that's attached to the Wireless Adapter?
