So the xbox360 is watercooled, well the cpu is. Now does MS expect us to re fill the watercool system or will it like never drain or dry up?

I believe it isn't actual normal water, however I could be wrong.
It never needs topping up.

I defenetly dont see M$ requiring a refill... sombody said it was liquid metal... thats myguess.. they are using it now to cool the X850 core from the OEM Saphire.

from what has been said its heat pipes.

not 100% sure but i think its a sealed unit with water in the pipes that heats up turns into a gas and then cool back to water.

good thing about this is that it still goes on till the water returns to room temp.

Yeah, I'm doubting you'll need to replace it ever.. It'll be like the liquid cooling in the current top end power mac g5s.. Completely sealed and never needs to be replaced.

the sega dreamcast had water cooling and a small fan. you would not need to ever "add water" as the tubing and heat exchanger(heat sink) are a sealed system. in other words, no way for the water to evaporate.

You can use water, coolant, liquid metal and alot of other things, it just depends on how much heat absorbtion you need.

well seeing as Ati and Sapphire are in bed together, and Ati and MS are working together, I think the cooling will resemble what Sapphires Radeon cards use.

Yeah, it uses heatpipes. There is no way they fit the radiator and reservoir in there.

On the subject of refilling, Intel is about to release a water cooling kit that requires NO refilling. The water loss is extremely minimal over many years.
