Rapidfire Controller Mod Help.

So I was going threw ebay and noticed the auction about rapid fire controller modding. I thought to my self hey I bet I could do this for WAY less then they want. So I did some googling and found this http://cparsell.googlepages.com/555timerrapidfire Which makes my head hurt could someone spend about 5 mins to break down in the simplest terms what I need to do this and what points I need to solder are. thanks.

Haha. I thought i could too, then i bought a rapid fire kit and put it together and didn't regret it for a second.
