Modding A Usb Cable To Interface With Old Xbox Controller

They were not FULLY backward compatible...the PS1 controllers worked on PS2, but the rumble function and the analog sticks did not work correctly for all games.  And how did MS screw up?  They are losing money when they sell the console, about $100 bucks.  Why should they then let you use controllers that you already have, allowing you to not purchase new controllers?  The games and accessories is where they are making their money.  Any good minded company would do the same, otherwise it would cut into your possible profits.
