Follow this tutorial - http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=627970 - mind you the pictures are all missing, but it's still pretty easy to follow. Basically you take apart the plastic box on the A/V (S-Video) cable, and remove all the wires you no longer need, leaving only the pins/wires/PCB for the optical audio port.

Edit - I removed all of the unused pins from the plug as A/V cable as well as the wires.
