No Media Showing Up When Streaming To Xbox 360
« on: November 30, 2007, 12:12:00 PM »

I'm trying to stream music and videos to my Xbox 360 from my PC.  I have the latest update on the Xbox which should allow me to stream media without the use of Windows Media Connect.

I can connect to the Xbox fine from my PC, however the problem I'm seeing is that my shared media won't show up on the Xbox when I go to the Media tab.

I have both WMP11 and the Zune software installed.  With both I followed the instructions here to share my library.  Using WMP11, I am able to detect the Xbox and all the checkboxes are checked for files to share.  However, even after I add media to my library (songs/videos), when I try to play them on my Xbox I just get the "No videos have been added to your library" message.

With the Zune software I am able to at least see and stream the 3 default songs, however, new songs/videos still won't show up on the Xbox.

I am using a DLink DI-614 router and have unblocked the following ports:
2869   UPnP Framework   TCP   My network (subnet) only
1900   UPnP Framework   UDP   My network (subnet) only
10284    Windows Media Connect   UDP   My network (subnet) only
10283   Windows Media Connect   UDP   My network (subnet) only
10282   Windows Media Connect   UDP   My network (subnet) only
10281   Windows Media Connect   UDP   My network (subnet) only
10280   Windows Media Connect   UDP   My network (subnet) only
10243   Windows Media Connect   TCP   My network (subnet) only

My PC is running WinXP SP2.

Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks!
