Technology like this has exsisted for awhile now. Do a search for a vga transcoder. I use this one myself. They sell for about $65 us.

I would be interested how much this one will sell for if its much much better then my current one also if it does 1080p.

The question is, is this a transcoder or 'linedoubler'? If it's a crappy linedoubler, no thanks. But if it transcodes the ps3's HDMI cable into true vga, all the way up to 1080p. then this is a great device.

I would love a product like this simply so that I can use one cable for all three systems.

I WILL NOT BUY IT though. Because I don't have my systems standing within a foot of each other.

As far as transcoding HDMI to VGA it won't. It does not have an HDMI connector but a Playstation MULTI AV connector.

Also if it was to transcode HDMI to VGA it would have a pretty hefty price tag due to needing the appropriate chips to handshake with the HDMI interface.

As I expect you know there are units on the market that strip the copyright protection from HDMI by doing exactly that but last time I checked they were around $300-$400 for even a basic model.

so it does component to vga, and we prolly need the xcm multi component cable, version1 of this cable supports Xbox but not wii, version 2 of the component cable supports wii but not xbox. which makes this preety useless unless xcm comes out with cable that supports, xbox, x360, ps3 and wii

Is there an adapter to turn one component input into multiple inputs, like some a/v switches that put one input into a tv but with touch of a button on the box you choose which input to send to the tv, my old a/v selector has 5 such buttons? i'd like to know because i only have 2 component inputs into my tv and i have 3 devices that need to input component (xbox360, dvd player, and wii).

I just got an email the other day that Neoya has released their New X2VGA 2 2.0 and states that it supports 1080p. I would love to hear reviews about both of these products sometime soon and see if they are worth the money.

actually, this seems like something that would do what i'm asking. i play my 360 through component right now as i have my pc hooked up to the only vga input my tv has. this device will allow me to plug in all my devices (pc, wii, 360, xbox, and dvd)? it appears that way to me at least. when people use this let us know how it is and if i'm thinking right too.
