Ok, so I went out and got the xbox VGA cable and attached it to my hdtv vga port. the signal was jumpy and very poor. I was able to see the launch pad. So I went into settings and tried to make the changes to the VGA settings, to no avail. Went back to the hd cables that came with the system and rebooted everything, went to settings and was able to use 1080i. When before all this I couldn't even do that.
So, I'll repose the question like this....
When you plug the hs cables in you can change settings in 360 to 480, 720, 1080i, and 1080p.
When you plug the VGA cable in, you can change the settings for the resolution 800x600, ect.....
What is the difference with this? Does this mean the vga adapt is for a "computer" type monitor?
