Technically that projector is not HD, since it's only 800x600. Tho it will accept resolutions upto 1280x1024. So to get anything close to hd, you have to set your resoultin to atleast 1280x720 in the settings.

Because it accepts HD signal(resizes the image), but dosen't display ture HD. Just set your output to a HD resolution(1280x720 would be best), and it should look good.

HDTV or HD "Compatible" or "Ready" means that it is not HD at all. its a nice big scam by the big companies of this world.

just set your xbox to the highest resolution the projector will accept. then compare it with the native resolution of the projector (800x600), and see what looks the best

HD ready is actually HD, it just needs an external source either via VGA, component, HDMI etc. The only difference between HD ready and HDTVs ar that HD ready tvs cant accept HD signals via an antenna.

Ok, but "compatible" means it will just accept the signal. Which is what his projector is labled with.

yeah, that is the best way of putting it. it will accept a HD signal, but what it actually displays (the bit your interested in), isn't HD at all.
