Ghost Line Between Hud Images, Faint Shadow

dunno how else to explain it... if there are two parallel hud images, a ghosted line will connect them... happened on hitman, now on over G fighters.

mitsubishi 65 inch WS-65616 model... 1080i through component...

how do you know it's not a TV problem? or an AV cable problem

change things around swaping out elements in the equation one at a time is the only sure-fire way to determine where the problem really is

If you have a friend with a 360 have him bring over his 360 and cables

try his console on your TV with your cables

try your console with his cables

try your console at his house on his tv

etc. etc. etc.

IPB Image

where i put the black lines... is where the ghost image crosses, but not as thick.. its only the thickness of whatever hud image is going across... doesnt show up on pc monitor...

any suggestions on TV settings to straighten this out?

Have you tried turning the brightness down a little bit on the TV?

do they dissapear if you stand still? like are the whites leaving trails on the screen?

im not saying dont get a projector, i love them - when everything is perfect. youre gona need to drop some dough on a good projector or you will be dissapointed. then a nice screen and make sure that room is dark! call up your warranty and get that tv fixed before you jump into a projector  smile.gif

its always there... even standing still... you can usually only see it against a very light colored background though.

about the warranty.. im trying nott ouse it.. because i get half of it back ($250) if i dont use it after 5 years.

TV was only like $1200 to begin with.. which i thought was pretty legit for a 65 inch HDTV..

i already have the brightness pretty low because i dont want burn in... ill fiddle around, but ive done it before and it hasnt helped...

also, when they came out under my 1 year warranty, they try and blame the problem on the video game...

another thing i havent tried is connecting direct to my TV.. tis running through a JVC Component switch...

ill try some stuff and post back.. if anyone knows what this is a symptom of, please post.. thanks
