Unknown Input On Tv...
« on: June 14, 2006, 03:17:00 PM »

Not too sure but it could be like on my plasma where I can switch between component HD and VGA through the VGA connector. It may be that you need to switch the mode of connection in the system setup.

It could also be some kind of D-terminal connection. I doubt it though.

EDIT: Just tested switching the mode. It comes up pink just like yours so I think I may be right.

I think you mean to say 'Component' rather than "composite".

If you are only getting a maximum 480p from your component inputs, then there is a chance that the VGA input is only configured for that also. Its probably an EDTV rather than an HDTV. Hook up a PC to the VGA port. Start with a low resolution like 640x480 (60Hz only) and then work your way up the sizes. See what the TV will accept.
