Computer Crt Support And Keyboar Mouse Support

Hi,
I am considering the XBox360 to go away from using my PC as a gaming device IF:

I can use the XBox360 with my 19inch VGA CRT monitor. How to the adapter fare with the HDTV support. Can I play at those high resolutions on my CRT and will it look good/like a PC game at those resolutions? Will I get borders  due to not having a widescreen CRT monitor (and no worries my CRT supports all HDTV resolutions). Read somewhere that the brightness is buggered up? Which adapters do you recommend?

And any chances of getting the keyboard/mouse support working on the XBox360? Do any of the curret game support it?
