My LCD can't do 1280x720 without stretching it to 1280x1024 so I'm wondering if the xbox360 has a vga option of 1280x1024 letterbox. Since gamespot did an article with included 1024x728 and 1280x1024, I assume the vga cable is available, but their screenshot was cropped so I couldn't tell if it were letterbox or not.

i was goign to ask this in anotehr thread, but i think heres a good place to put it.

will you be able to set the reolution to what most pc's output? eg my minitor is 1440x900.

In the vga video comparison, they show the 360 doing 1280 x 1024. The resolutions you quoted do not account for this.

We were not implying that you where.

I just find the two sources conflicting; one showing the 360 vga rendering 1280 x 1024 resolution screen, and the other saying that it does not.

well 1280x1024 is avery common resolution for monitors, but it is not widescreen.

yeah good find.

but the exact resolutions is very important. for those of us that have lcd monitors, it is vitally important to have a resolution that is as close (prferably spot on) the resolution of the monitor. anything more, it wont get displayed. anything less, and we get a very terrible looking image.

edit: i hope there are a lot more resolutions to choose from then that

from what ive heard that does not have its own scaller, so It has to have a 1680*1050 input or it wont work..

(oh and add to that its silly ADC connector, so that will need an adapter etc etc... )
