While the N6 is a true vga adapter, it is still a transcoder (closest thing to true vga, but there is still some conversion going on), and a shitty one at that; compared to two other xbox transcoders: x2vga and VD-Z3, the picture quality of the N6 is significantly worse.

The 360, unlike the xbox, support vga out of the box, so by all means get the 360 vga cable (I would have given my left nut for true vga, for the xbox, rather then the next possible thing; a transcoder).  You will get a much better picture.
