$40 for a x360 vga cable?! MS is making off like a bandit on this one.

It's better then having to pay $80 for a transcoder, i guess.

The stupid thing is that the VGA cable has the red and white component end for audio. What if I want to use optical cable for 5.1?

As for the controller priceing... $50 is cheaper than what I expected for the wireless... the Logitec wireless pad for the current gen launched at $70 and only after months and months has it dropped down to $50 (what it is today) for MS to price their brand new next gen 1st party game pad for the low end of the 3rd party wireless spectrum is great IMO.

The $40 tag on the wired controller seems a tad steep to me but I think that's just because they're trying to make the wireless pads look more desirable. It doesn't bother me at all though because I don't plan on buying any wired controllers

so lets put it this way... the SIGNALS are naitive... but the PORTS are not.
