You mean other than you get to bite people while they sleep?  Not that I recall, other than to stop being a vampire you have to go on a quest

by contracting hemophillia (vamparisim) you gain 4 special effects *providing that you dont feed for 3/4 days straight*

1st day you gain hunter's sight (night eye for 30 seconds and detect life 100 ft *i think, my guidebook doen't give a distance* for 30 seconds)

2nd day you gain vampires seduction (high magnitude charm spell for 20 seconds)

3rd day you gain reign of terror (ability to silence and demoralise your opponents)

and
embrace of shadows (3 minutes of invisibility an 90 seconds of night eye) *might be 4th day, not entirley sure due to it comes under day 3 but it might mean day 4 so possibly 4)

* i got this info from the: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Guidebook on pages 39 & 40*

so this INS'T my knowledge

Well, I don't know them all by heart,
but you gain fortify on almost every attribute.

Your skills in magic also increase.

If you can maintain a good feeding schedule, and get your hands on a ring of fire resist, then it's definitely a good option for low level characters.

Problem being, when you get to the point where vampirism is no longer needed,
the quest to free yourself of it is a bitch.

Helpful tip, if you ever come across garlci, whether your planning on becoming a vampire or curing the disease, just grab it.

indeed! took forever to get all the bits together

if you go to a chapel within 2-3 days and pray at the alter you'll be cured

there's some human blood in the dark brotherhood hideout if you need a quick fix (in the bedroom with the stone slab for a bed)

if you buy the Vile Lair plugin then you get access to a font of renewal that cures you of vampirism smile.gif
