Oblivoin has a lot of potential.  All they need to do is fix the lame combat from Morrowind, and they've got a game of the year. jester.gif

The game is still going to be the biggest rpg environment yet with over 900 dungeons or so.

I'll be honest...

I dont give a shit how the game turns out.

Just knowing a 3rd or half of it is woods that we can explore is enough for me smile.gif

Lush graphics like that? sign me up.

and Carlo mentioned the dungeons...

good grief thats a lot of exploration! I cant wait!  blink.gif

from that same site www.machall.com, "User-mod tools will be making a return and will be better than the last iteration. That was all Ian wanted to hear."  I'm assuming this is for the computer version, but I wonder if there will also be something for the 360...And if not, when the 360 gets "opened up" if you will, we should be able to use the computer editor on it  muhaha.gif .

Just to be clear, the game ES IV: Oblivion takes place in the Tamriel province of Cyrodiil and reportedly in the realm of Oblivion (hell). There is no info on how big Oblivion is, but one statement by Todd Howard says that Cyrodiil is 40 sq mi.

Only 16 sq mi of the Cyrodiil province will be in ES IV according to the statements made.

In comparison, the island of Vvardenfell where the main game of ES:III Morrowind takes place has been said to be 10 sq mi. That statement was made before the Bloodmoon expansion was released, and I haven't seen anything which talks about how much the area of Solstheim would add to the 10 sq mi figure.

In this scene, we were also given a demonstration of the combat in Oblivion. As many can recall, there had been a lot of criticism of Morrowind’s combat system and that it was much too slow and stale. Bethesda has listened to the critiques and have upped the combat in this game so it is much more hectic and fast than in the previous title. Again, Todd gave major props to Bethesda’s modelers and let us know that they have created over 200 unique dungeon’s to explore in Oblivion.

200 dungeons! Holy S*it !
They are also working on the combat system vigorously, i'm sure they'll come up with a great result smile.gif

yeah i'd say you would be able to fight in 3rd person since you could on Morrowind, although i'm guessing the quality will most likely be pretty bad, just like Morrowind. But who knows they may have picked up there act in that department.
