doh, you're right, shadowrun.com. sorry guys, i was excited smile.gif

some of the blog posts are interesting, but it sure does sound a bit too FPSy. Not even any mention of the matrix, but they do talk about growing the story over a series of games, so that's great news. I hope they aren't all FPS, though...

im dissapointed guys

it doesnt seem to borrow at all from the shadowrun universe
Its stictly an FPS game it seems.

I wish it was an rpg, thats why I loved the Genesis version of this game. Hacking into the net, stealing data... that was some of the funnest crap.

I agree to all of the above. In this blog , http://shadowrun.com...5-8-06_blog.htm , title “What did you do to my game world, dude?” homie talks about the "baggage" that comes with making a shadowrun game. What I don't get is there is no mention of why they should make an RPG game into a FPS. Isn't the xbox market just a little saturated with them?

sounds like this game may be a notable flop. Peeps saying shadowrun on the 16bit consoles were RPG and this has hardly any RPG elements at all in the game. I Never played the 16bit versions but I'll take their word for it.

The rumor section of EGM was right all along.
The graphics in this game look Xbox'ish....

Shadowrun turned out to be my biggest dissapointment from this year's E3.
I can live with the fact that the game is nothing like the Sega Genesis version of Shadowrun but
the art direction just plain sucks dry.gif
The graphics are pretty weak too....

But the gameplay might be fun.
Who knows.... sleeping.gif

lol, jacking into the Matrix... forgot about that stuff

but yeah, for those who havent played Shadowrun, the cover of the game pretty much describes what Shadowrun is about. And you can tell, it isnt anything like the trailer for the 360 game.

Yes this game is going to suck excrement like most games today, and disgrace the classic game it's named after. It doesn't plan to have anything to do with the exciting adventure play that made 'shadowrun' fun. Doesn't that suck out everything the game was and leave only the shallowest and least interesting element? I hope this game flops and makes all its creators homeless because it has killed my love of shadowrun. Today, every game is converted to FPS or a version of DOA. Even a distinctive platformer like Ninja Gaiden. Even though the xbox game looked great and had good action, it was more like DOA Gaiden with weapons and entire levels. DOA is a great game but I need to play other things too.

There are no more good adventures being made. No more parasite eves or final fantasy sevens. Even the Silent Hill series is becoming a braindead run-of-the-mill shooter with goofy thriller moments. Only the first one was deep, homey and subtle enough to make it raw and realistically disturbing. The next game introduced goofy power rangers monsters and silly little simple ghost stories and never looked back. I have to say, I wish FPS games would die and let adventure and gameplay come back. How many ways can you dress up running around shooting and climbing on flying jet-skis before everyone realises it's all the same bland crap?

i downloaded the demo this past weekend, i thought it was ok. I like the concept of where you have to buy your weapons instead of starting off with the same ones everyone else has...

pretty cool game, i wouldn't be addicted to it...7/10
