One question to those who have played RR6 (as I have not). I love Burnout through and through. I hate Forza and Gran Turismo. THEY BORE ME. Given those facts, would RR6 be up my alley? I've been trying like hell to rent it, but it's always checked out. And God forbid they put the demo on the Marketplace...
How close to Burnout's gameplay is it?
Well, if you don't like Forza and GT then you won't like PGR3, because all 3 are considered the SIM type where racing is realistic. As in, you better slow down before you hit that turn because they would in real life.
I haven't played RR, and I just picked up NFS and haven't played it yet. I have played the NFS demo though and that's why I picked it up. I've heard some bad things about the game(lackluster graphics, choppy, repetitive) so since I haven't played it and can't comment on those I'm not going to tell you to buy. However, after playing the demo I think it's the closest thing to Burnout on the 360 right now. PGR3 is a Sim racer, RR though arcadey is still just racing as I've seen it, but NFS is arcadey in its controls and destructive like Burnout. You can crash into street lamps, gas stations, take out cars in your way(they slow you down, but not dead stop like Burnout 3). I thought the graphics were good, the controls are arcadey, and overall I had fun playing the demo. I like PGR3 for accomplishing something, but NFS was fun. I liked that it was a free roaming environment almost like a GTA on the highway. When doing the challengs like evading police you aren't just doing laps over and over again. You're on the highway and you see an exit to the right, take it; come up to an intersection choose any direction. You can go through parking garages, through parks, golf courses, etc.
I'm guessing you might have played the demo already being that you were looking for RR demo on the marketplace, but I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in anyway.
