Madden NFL 06 Achievement Guide

Enter History Book - 10GP
Enter any of the history book screens in Franchise mode.
This is the easiest achievement to earn in any Xbox 360 game period. From the main Menu Select "Franchise" then "History Book" you'll be taken to the history book screen and you'll have earned the achievement.
Activate RS Card - 10GP
Activate any of the RS cards.
After you start a game in Franchise mode while you're looking at the season schedule click the right thumb stick (pushing it straight into the controller like a button) this will take you to the RS cards screen and give you the achievement.
Get a First Down - 20GP
Gain a first down in any offline game mode.
While playing an offline game against the computer get a first down by moving the ball across the yellow line (10 yards from where you start) when playing offense. The achievement will be awarded at the end of the game.
If you're having troubles getting this achievement consider dropping the game difficult to Rookie, decreasing the Game AI for the CPU, or increasing the Game AI for the user. These can only be done before the game starts and can be done in the Game Options menu.
Score a Touchdown - 30GP
Score a Touchdown in any Offline game mode.
While playing an offline game against the computer get a touchdown by moving the ball all the way to the end of the field you're facing when playing offense. The achievement will be awarded at the end of the game.
If you're having troubles getting this achievement consider dropping the game difficult to Rookie, decreasing the Game AI for the CPU, or increasing the Game AI for the user. These can only be done before the game starts and can be done in the Game Options menu.
Complete an Offline Game - 30GP
Successfully complete an offline game
While playing an offline game against the computer finish the game, It doesn't matter if you win or if you loose just play until the game ends. The achievement will be awarded at the end of the game.
Win a Franchise Game - 100GP
Win a user-controlled Franchise game.
While playing in franchise mode win a game against the computer.

Pass for 350 Yards - 100GP
Successfully pass for over 350 yards or more.
While playing an offline game against the computer move the ball over 350yards in one game by throwing it while playing offense. I'd recommend selecting your plays by "Type" then choose plays in either the "Quick Pass" or "Standard Pass" category. The total yards accumulated can be checked by pausing the game and pushing the down direction on the right analog stick. The Total passing yards will be shown in the top right of the screen. The achievement will be awarded at the end of the game.

Also consider dropping the game difficult to Rookie, decreasing the Game AI for the CPU, or increasing the Game AI for the user. Rush for 200 Yards - 100GP
Successfully rush for 200 yards or more.
While playing an offline game against the computer move the ball over 200yards in one game by running with it while playing offense. I'd recommend selecting your plays by "Type" then choose plays in either the "Outside Hand off" or "Inside Hand off" category. The total yards accumulated can be checked by pausing the game and pushing the down direction on the right analog stick. The Total passing yards will be shown in the top right of the screen. The achievement will be awarded at the end of the game.

Four Sacks in One Game - 100GP
Amass four sacks in one game.
While playing an offline game against the computer sack the quarter back four times in one game while plying defense. A "Sack" is when the quarterback is tackled before he can give the ball to another player and is still behind the line of scrimmage (the line where the play started). I'd recommend selecting your plays by "Type" then choose "Cover 2" and any of the Cover 2 plays. When playing choose a player on the outside using the B button, once the play starts run around the opposing team and tackle the quarterback using the X button. Listen to the announcer to confirm that you made the sack and keep a mental tally as there is no way to check how many you've made. The achievement will be awarded at the end of the game.

Win the Super Bowl - 100GP
Win the Super Bowl with your Franchise team.
Play or simulate games in franchise mode until you get to the Super Bowl. Once there beat the computer controlled team. Despite what the achievement description says you do not have to use your franchise team to earn the achievement. Simply pick a team playing in the Super Bowl and win the game against the computer controlled team. The achievement will be awarded at the end of the game.

Complete 30 Years of Franchise - 400GP
Successfully complete 30 years of Franchise mode.
Despite what the achievement description says you only need to complete 28 years in franchise mode. Play or simulate games until the year reaches 2033. Once you've completed the Pro Bowl for the Year 2033 the game will alert you that you have reached the end of franchise mode and the achievement will be awarded. Even if you simulate all 28 years this will take several hours and requires user input ever few minutes.
