Stuck On This Mission

I cant get pass this auto save part where im in the helicoptor protecting the convoy from this one tank. The chopper turns in ways i cant destroy the tank before it takes out on of my vehicles. anyone got stuck on this point. its right after the part with littlebird and the tank allies.
