Its Official: Gow = Halo Killer

For the first time since Halo 2 launched, a game has finally taken over its #1 spot on Live.  Gears of war is that game.  I am pretty surprised, actually.  There have been a few good games out there, but none of them even touched it.  It is a great time to be a gamer right now, and an xbox360 owner  : )

Of course it will, it has the biggest install base of any Xbox game.  It's a franchise running on it's third outing.  By the time the third GoW rolls out, it very well may have just as large of a fan base as the juggernaut that is Halo.  Both are great games in thier own rights, but quite different in gameplay.  It's nice to see a game finally able to have the same level of success as Halo.  Xbox can't be a one trick pony, it's good to see the stable growing.
