After all the hoopla about the game releasing today, I called my local EB and they said the game is out tomorrow.
I checked online and every retailer says the game "ships" today.

I hate it when cats mistake "ship" with "release date"  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

yeah it sucks ass.. i got up this morning and ran over to EB.. they'll have it by 1 pm tomorrow. Apparently, its a good thing that I pre-ordered because their entire shipment is taken by pre-orders.. Normal people will end up getting it in a few days

On another note, I did pick up an intercooler and a pre-order for GoW.

"Shipping day" a phrase the video game industry tolerates. In the movie industry there is a "street day" in which everyone in the region can purchase the movie on DVD and stores that sell movies before this day can lose their license. Shipping days allow people on the coast to open their games up a day before the rest of the states.

I'm going to rent this one. I was planning on playing it all summer, but guess what... it was delayed like crazy. So this whole summer I've been treated to 0 of the games that I was looking forward to playing. More I see on this title, the more the zombies look pleasant instead of vicious. I wouldn't mind buying a zombie game that had killer zombies and some co-op.

I think Washington was the only place to get it on 8/8. And I only think we did for teh Kenji signings. Son't quote me though, I just don't know anyone else who got it but the people who went to the signing.

I just picked it up today at Wal-Mart.  They put 25 on the shelves this morning.  Looks like they have plenty of copies left.

I picked it up from Best Buy at lunch today.  I can;t wait o get home and try it out after work.

this game is so freakin awesome..

I love how half the time its storyline and missions and then once you finish them (if you finish em early) you can have freetime until the next 'case' starts..
